We’re running another of our showcase events to highlight how the pilot User Experience (UX) Service is helping a wide range of projects get closer to their target audiences and make better decisions. Booking for Tuesday 23 July is now open.

In our latest lunchtime meetup, UX Service Manager Neil Allison gave a preview of the talk he presented at UX Scotland. He shared a tried and tested method of bringing teams together to prioritise usability issues effectively.

Collaborative sketching workshops are a quick and effective way to get design decisions moving forward as a team. In this post I go through the benefits, provide the materials needed and give a step-by-step guide so that you can run your own session.

In the previous lunchtime meetup, Mary Elder told us about the work that has been carried out to make MyEd a truly student-centred portal, and Neil Allison reported on the University’s Student Digital Experience Standards.

On Thursday 6 June, Neil Allison will present a preview of the talk he will be giving at UX Scotland later in June. Find out how to get your team and user community involved in prioritising usability issues in your service or website. As ever, the talk is followed by a Lean Coffee-style discussion group.

We are seeking to better understand your needs to inform how we can enhance web services to ensure they serve you better. These services will complement and sit alongside the current corporate CMS.

We were in Utrecht to attend the conference Frontend United 2019. This is a non-profit, developer-first, community-focused conference. Its aim is to connect frontend developers and designers from all kinds of backgrounds closer together to share knowledge, experiences and ideas.

We’ve been providing content training since 2006, and it’s not just for EdWeb anymore.

I was really pleased to have the opportunity to attend SDinGOV once again, and have pulled together a few thoughts and resources from the sessions that stood out the most for me.

We’re attending and presenting at the Institutional Web Management Workshop, being held 25-27 June at the University of Greenwich. The conference is aimed at staff in UK higher education institutions responsible for websites and other digital provisions.
