The Public Sector Design Community meet up comes once again to the University. We’re hosting the next event on Tuesday 16 April, 6 til 8pm, at Argyle House. This is for anyone with an interest in the field of designing public services.
The Service Design in Government 2019 conference took place in Edinburgh last week, with three students from our university taking the opportunity to volunteer and get some great insight and experience from experts in the field.
Once again we contributed to the University’s Festival of Creative Learning, a week in the academic schedule where students take a break from their formal studies to explore a wide range of new topics and learning techniques.
The leading user experience conference UX Scotland is once again being held in Edinburgh this June. This year I’m contributing a session.

Once again, we’re lucky to have a world-class user experience conference happening on our doorstep down at Dynamic Earth in central Edinburgh. We’ve been long-time advocates and once again, members of our team will be attending and sharing their thoughts.
It’s just over a year since we trialled our first user experience training package. We’ve run the sessions 4 times now, receiving excellent feedback from attendees and refining the provision each time to better meet staff needs.
The end of 2017 marks the first anniversary of our collaboration with IS Helpline to iteratively improve their IT help provision. A year in, we look back at some of our achievements in the process of improving the user experience around IT support at the University.
