University style is an important part of our branding. Our two minute video from the Effective Digital Content course explains what’s important and what you need to know.

We’ve launched a new version of the Effective Digital Content, using stand-alone in-house videos, up-to-date with the latest legislation and research.

To meet the specific needs of University Human Resources Services, we developed a bespoke half-day training session. It was designed as a refresher on creating effective digital content and the fundamentals of EdWeb.

The online version of the ‘Writing for the Web’ course is now available in draft mode on Learn. It’s now known as ‘Effective Digital Content’.

We’re creating an online version of our popular Writing for the Web course, and are looking for volunteers to help test it, and name it.

Pair writing is a speedy way to craft content — it teams up content and subject experts to write together in a 1-2 hour session. We’ve started using this process with colleagues to improve and create University web pages.

We do a lot of engagement via University mailing lists, and on the whole do pretty well in terms of response and reaction. I wanted to share with you a few things I’ve learned over the years in the course of communicating with the communities we support.

We don’t advocate inline links on our University website. In fact, the current corporate content management system (CMS) Polopoly, won’t allow them.
