Tag: Festival of Creative Learning

The Festival of Creative Learning (formerly known as Innovative Learning Week) was established in 2014. We were commissioned to provide a website that would display details of scheduled events and allow prospective attendees to find and book places on events.

Once again we contributed to the University’s Festival of Creative Learning, a week in the academic schedule where students take a break from their formal studies to explore a wide range of new topics and learning techniques.

Over the Festival of Creative Learning, I ran a workshop to teach Writing for the Web to students and had them demonstrate their newfound skills through a collaborative writing exercise.

Yesterday I ran a practical introductory session to some collaborative UX research and design practices for Edinburgh students, as part of our Festival of Creative Learning. It also gave colleagues an insight into how students approach their studies.

Last week I supported colleague Ross Ward, part of our Educational Design & Engagement team, in running a session that introduced UX concepts to students, and enabled him to explore new opportunities for technology-enhanced learning.
