Stephen Denning, Director of User Experience (UX) with Edinburgh consultants User Vision is our guest speaker this month. He’s going to talk about how achieving great experiences relate to an organisation’s mindset. The session is Wednesday 13 December.

The University Website team had the honour to be invited to the inaugural Thunder Day event, organised by the Hubert Burda publishing company in Hamburg, Germany. The main theme of the day was how open collaboration can help when delivering digital content through the web.

To meet the specific needs of University Human Resources Services, we developed a bespoke half-day training session. It was designed as a refresher on creating effective digital content and the fundamentals of EdWeb.

I’ve just delivered 3 days’ training in user experience (UX) research and design techniques to staff working in IT Services at the University of Essex. (Forgive the title pun, I couldn’t resist). In this post I’ll cover what the training entailed and how trainees rated it.

On November 15 we will apply the latest set of improvements, module updates and security patches to EdWeb. These will include an update to our site theme, improved help text, and bug fixes.
