In 2025, we discovered that AI tools like ChatGPT were not able to “read” the entry requirements on our 2026 undergraduate degree finder and often returned incorrect information. Inspired by the University of Dundee, we implemented a solution, which – according to my latest testing – has successfully boosted the accuracy of results.

Earlier this year, we collaborated with admissions colleagues to design a new presentation for entry requirements in the undergraduate degree finder. In this post, I share the different iterations we designed and how testing with students informed our design decisions.

Our research found clear entry requirements information is crucial to prospective students. But the way the University currently presents this information can be confusing and increases enquiries.
