Opportunities to become a summer intern with Website and Communications
As part of Information Services Group’s 2022 Summer Internship Programme, Website and Communications have several internship opportunities available for University of Edinburgh undergraduate students this summer.
You don’t have to be technical to work with our team. These positions span a range of disciplines. We are looking for web developers, media creators, content creators, experts in human behaviour and more.

Web Content Migration Liaison Assistant
Assist on our major content migration project, to audit and prepare websites to go live. This is a great opportunity to make our web content more user-centred and sustainable.
Automated Web Content Migration Intern
Provide technical support for migrating University websites to a new cloud platform. This is an excellent opportunity to gain insight into the challenges and application of best practice in managing and supporting large-scale web-based services.
Nudge (Behavioural Insights) Intern
Work with the user experience team to help colleagues across the Learning, Teaching and Web directorate to apply behavioural science approaches to positively influence the decision-making of people using our services.
Design System and Web Platform Media Intern
Help create new and imaginative media assets as promotional materials to support communications around our current major projects, the Design System and the Web Publishing Platform.
Portal Services Developer Intern
Assist the Portal Services team in delivering improvements to our services, including the Notifications Service and MyEd.
Learn Foundations Student Intern
This position isn’t directly with Website and Communications, but we have worked very closely with the project team over the past few years. These positions will assist in course migration and engagement as part of the Learn Ultra Upgrade project.
There are 50 positions available across 26 varied internships across Information Services group.
