Project update to the Web Publishers Community

Yesterday I had the chance to provide an update about our project to deliver a new website for prospective students, at the University’s Web Publishers Community. Slides and video are available.

It was nice to be presenting in person for the first time in what seemed like ages, and to be able to catch up with colleagues from around the University.

Project update topics

In my session I covered:

  • A reminder of the background and context of our project
  • The timeline of what will be released when
  • Activity from the last 6 months
  • Some edited highlights of what we learned from our undergraduate beta release (heavily borrowing from Carla’s beta showcase session)
  • What we’ve learned from subsequent prototypes that improve on the beta experience
  • Our current development activties
  • Our plans for the third year of the project in 2024-25

Catch up if you missed it

If you’re a member of the University of Edinburgh, you can access the slides and recording of the presentation from the Website and Communications Support wiki.
