Next user-focused meet up – 13 December

Following the success of our first-ever lunchtime meet up for colleagues interested in all things user experience, we’ve set up our next one. It’s happening Wednesday 13 December.

The format of this session will be a repeat of last time:

  • A presentation on a user experience-related topic for around half an hour
  • A 45 minute discussion forum, where the group sets the agenda (we use the Lean Coffee approach)

Write up of the last meetup session, including attendee feedback

When and where

We’re hosting in Argyle House, with the session happening 12:00 til 13:30 on Wednesday 13 December.

Bring your lunch, we’ll provide the drinks and nibbles.

Designing Intentional User Experiences – Stephen Denning

We all know good (and bad) experiences when we encounter them.

But why do some organisations consistently deliver great experiences and others consistently disappoint.

Part of the answer is how ‘intentional’ the organisation is about the experience.

Stephen will share his thoughts on this subject, and suggest 3 tips for ensuring we create intentional experiences.

Stephen Denning in Director of UX at User Vision in Edinburgh.

Stephen’s goal is to make things easier for people. He believes that great experiences must be grounded in a deep understanding of human behaviour.

For that reason, Stephen and the team at User Vision spend all their time helping a range of organisations around the world to better understand their users and to use that insight to create experiences that delight.
