As part of the ongoing EdWeb migration, the User Experience (UX) team have been working alongside developers to identify any usability issues with migrated functionality before release. These issues can then be prioritised and addressed in future updates. 

In March 2024, the annual UCISA leadership conference came to Edinburgh. I pitched a talk about UX and change management which was accepted, giving me the opportunity to attend the three-day event.

Drupal is the Content Management System behind EdWeb 2 (and also EdWeb). As a Drupal contributor I’ve been working with others in the community to help improve the clarity of the language used within Drupal, to make it more accessible and inclusive. 

Since presenting at DrupalCon in 2022 I have been contributing to Drupal’s marketing and usability initiatives. Returning to speak at DrupalCon 2023, I wanted to share what I’d learned, do some hands-on activities and encourage the community to apply UX principles to all things Drupal.

Drupal is the content management system underpinning EdWeb (and EdWeb2). It’s open source meaning it’s built by the community for the community. I’ve been contributing my UX expertise to Drupal since speaking at DrupalCon in 2022.

Drupal is an open source content management system which underpins EdWeb, the new Web Publishing Platform and the Design System. I was lucky enough to have a talk proposal accepted at DrupalCon Prague 2022 and learned lots more about Drupal by attending the three-day event.

Drupal is the main content management system used at the University, underpinning the bulk of our web estate. As a speaker at DrupalCon Prague 2022, I was able to share how we’ve worked with Drupal to develop the editorial interface of the new Web Publishing Platform, as well as learn more about this important system.
