Sharing the work of the Prospective Student Web Content Team

Tag: open day

Our team went on campus during the recent Undergraduate Open Day to do some pop-up research and check some design concepts and live services with prospective students and their parents.

Join us in January to watch prospective postgraduate students navigating the University website to find key information, and then prioritise the biggest issues we need to fix first.

As the UX Specialist within the team, I led the guerrilla usability testing at the University’s Postgraduate Open Days on 13 and 15 November. This approach is really quick, cheap and easy to run, and provided a great opportunity for our team to engage directly with prospective students.

We recently spent the day talking to prospective postgraduates and observing them interacting with colleagues during a visit day. It was an eye-opening experience for the team for a number of reasons, and importantly we began putting some important principles into practice.
