We’ve been conducting lots of user research interviews recently. We transcribe our interview recordings to more accurately reflect what people said but this comes with an overhead. We’ve been trying automated transcription tools to reduce the effort and speed up our work.
The new Prospective Student Web Content Team is adopting an Agile approach to delivery, using the Scrum framework. Although this represents a new way of working for many in our team, it’s already a nice fit for our mission. We’re getting on with the job at hand.
In addition to recently joining the Prospective Student Web Content team, I have joined (for the second time) the IWMW Advisory Group. We are a group of HE representatives from across the country, who work together remotely to organise a conference for digital professionals in the sector.
We recently spent the day talking to prospective postgraduates and observing them interacting with colleagues during a visit day. It was an eye-opening experience for the team for a number of reasons, and importantly we began putting some important principles into practice.
