Earlier this year, we collaborated with admissions colleagues to design a new presentation for entry requirements in the undergraduate degree finder. In this post, I share the different iterations we designed and how testing with students informed our design decisions.
We’re running an online event on Wednesday 13 December to share our latest work on developing the new postgraduate taught (on-campus and online) programme page. You’ll have a chance to give feedback on our work and register for collaboration sessions with us to help us improve our designs.

I was invited on The Fourth Wall Content Podcast, a new podcast exploring user-centred case studies. I spoke about our team’s collaboration with the Student Immigration Service on improving the digital experience for student visa applicants.
Over the summer, our team audited various University websites with content for prospective postgraduate taught students. We were looking to find areas of content that might benefit being in our new postgraduate degree finder.
Our team has been working to transform a list of proposed content components into a visual prototype of the new undergraduate degree finder. Along the way, we’ve collaborated with schools to get a better insight into their content requirements.
I attended (and spoke at) Utterly Content earlier this year, an online conference for content professionals around the world. In this post, I recap my top takeaways from some of the talks I watched.
Over summer 2022, we worked with the Finance team to improve content on how students pay tuition fees. From August to October 2021 to the same period in 2022, the team saw a 75% drop in enquiries in the content area we were focusing on.
Our content team members attended – and some even spoke at – the ContentEd conference in November. In this post, we recap what our favourite sessions were and what we took away from the conference.
