Sharing the work of the Prospective Student Web Content Team

Events in December – Introducing the Prospective Student Web Content Team

We’re running a series of events in December to introduce ourselves to the University’s web marketing and recruitment and admissions communities. Join us to find out about our early priorities and our vision for the future of student recruitment web publishing.

About the team

The new Prospective Student Web Content Team has been established within Communications and Marketing, with a remit to transform centrally-held content and improve the online experiences of student enquirers and applicants.

We’re adopting an agile approach to delivery, which means you can expect to see improvements to critical web content beginning to come through from early in the new year.

Our early priorities are with taught postgraduate fees experiences and website search.

Join us to learn more

We are running a series of sessions in which we will outline how we’re approaching the work, and what this could mean for you.

As well as talking about how we’re tackling some of the biggest issues for prospective students, and sharing some of our learning to date, we want to hear about what’s important to you.

There will be opportunities to ask questions, and also to contribute to a mini workshop which will surface the issues that matter most to the recruitment, admissions, marketing and web publishing communities.

Approximate timings:

  • 30 minutes: Introductory presentation, including upcoming priority areas of work
  • 30 minutes: Question & answer session, plus coffee
  • 60 minutes: Collaborative workshop to identify early staff priorities

We hope you will stay for the full session, but if you don’t have time it’s fine to leave before the workshop.

Who should attend?

If you have a stake in the provision of online information and services to prospective students, we want to work with you.

If you manage web pages, contribute to website content or respond to prospective student queries in any format, this will be of relevance.

Our goal is to deliver effective, efficient, satisfying applicant website experiences. We can’t do that without the subject matter expertise and local knowledge held across the University.
