In our October session of Content Improvement Club, we divided up into breakout rooms and worked on the same page of content. Then we came back together and compared the edits we had made. This session helped us to learn about what different editors look for when working on a piece of content.

Content Improvement Club is our regular meetup for web publishers. This month, we looked at writing and improving alt text to make images accessible to all users.

In March 2024, the annual UCISA leadership conference came to Edinburgh. I pitched a talk about UX and change management which was accepted, giving me the opportunity to attend the three-day event.

The latest phase of developing the navigation scheme for EdWeb2 involved testing a menu system comprising a top-level menu and a left-hand menu.

Earlier this year, we worked with the Information Security team to improve their help pages for the rollout of Multifactor Authentication (MFA) across the University. These help pages are important, because potentially thousands of staff will be using them as they enable MFA on their University Office365 accounts.

The latest phase of Learn Ultra research investigated the staff and student experience, with a focus on Learn Ultra courses, to guide the next phase in the upgrade. 

To ensure the ongoing implementation of Learn Ultra remains as user-centred as possible, staff and students were engaged in user experience research between May and October 2022.
