The latest update on the EdWeb Project (Issue 5) was out last week. Key topics this issue are an update on the migration project and tweaks to the process based on feedback from the early adopter group and the availability of the EdWeb distribution.

In lieu of an in-person Web Publishers’ Community session this month, we put together an update from the University Website Programme and Web Integration teams which was circulated to the WPC email list last week. You can catch up with what was said below:

It’s been a busy couple of weeks with the EdWeb project lately so I just wanted to draw your attention to the most recent communications we’ve issue to keep you updated with progress on the project.

We’ve been hearing a lot about Google Analytics (GA) lately. In July Stratos blogged about the implementation of GA event tracking in the Polopoly CMS and last month, Duncan posted about updates to our GA guidance to cover events and the latest design refresh.

The University of Edinburgh is a huge institution with a big beast of a website, so as the newest recruit to the University Website Programme team – Editorial Development Officer – I’m still finding my feet in week three.
