I recently attended a talk by Professor Gregor Kennedy detailing his recent research into “learning analytics”, the study of interactions in digital learning environments. Professor Kennedy’s research has revealed the gap between curriculum design and real student behaviour, and the impact this has on learning.
The EdWeb migration project team is delighted to announce that over 200 sites are now live in EdWeb. The migration project has taken great strides in 2015, from just one site live in EdWeb this time last year, to 203 one year later!

Last week, I spent three days on an intensive course to consolidate my knowledge on creating an effective user experience, and now hold the certificate of ‘Certified Professional in User Experience (Foundation level)’, or CPUX-F.

DrupalCamp Scotland – the annual training camp and meetup (running for 6 years now!) brings together the people who use, develop, design and support the Drupal CMS platform in Scotland. This year the group convened at the University of Edinburgh, with members of the University Website Programme team contributing presentations on EdWeb and agile usability.
The past couple of weeks, I’ve been undertaking usability tests with our old and new content management systems, Polopoly and EdWeb. Once again I was overwhelmed with the number of colleagues willing to give up their time to help me. So I thought I should say thank you.
