Event: User research playback event on cost of study 27 May 2021
Join us on Thursday 27 May at 10am to watch prospective postgraduates try out a design we’ve prototyped to make it easier to work out how much studying a degree might cost.
The team are looking ahead to the replacement of our current undergraduate and postgraduate degree finders.
We are using a technique called design sprints to help us explore potential future states that better meet student needs and reflect the business priorities of the University.
An overview of the design sprint process and why we’re taking this approach
About this session
This session summarises our third design sprint, looking at how prospective students might better anticipate their cost of study.
We have designed a prototype concept that will help us to gauge how useful students find an interactive tool to tailor fees information to their situation.
Join us to see how prospective postgraduates react to our design, and contribute to our summarisation and prioritisation of positive and negative aspects.
This is a great way to get involved in the future shape of our most important online provision for prospective students.
Who is this event for?
If you are involved in student recruitment, admissions, communications and/or marketing in a central service or in a school or college, then this will be of interest.
As well as hearing about what we’ve learned, we want your input too. So, if you have experience of working with prospective students, we hope you can join us.
What we’ll do
In this session we will:
- provide some background about the work we’ve been doing in this sprint
- watch short videos of students completing representative tasks using the prototype
- work together to summarise and prioritise what we’ve learned
