Editing GatherContent – a follow-up

The undergraduate degree finder content refresh activity is now reaching the end of the initial phase of update by colleagues in schools. In this post I summarise some of the questions we’ve fielded more regularly around use of GatherContent.

Workflow status

If you have finished work on a programme, please push this forward to the ‘Review – CAM Student Content Team’ stage of the workflow, so that we know the programme has been signed off and is ready to be reviewed by our team.

No changes?

I’d also like to stress that, if there are no changes needed to your programmes – unless these are important material changes – it might be that your programmes do not need updating, and that is absolutely fine. We wouldn’t like you to think that each programme requires a full re-write. As we are unfortunately in a position of firefighting this year, the most important thing is that we capture any material changes that will substantially alter the nature of a programme. Unfortunately, as much as we’d like to be, we are not in the position this year to look at improve the surrounding marketing content in more detail. However, this is certainly something that we will be addressing as a team going forward.

If you think that no changes are required to a programme or subject area, please progress this on in the workflow as you would with any other programme.

New or deleted programmes

If you know that you have a programme(s) to be added or deleted, please let us know as soon as you can. Although we are no longer publishing any subject or programme information in the printed prospectus, there will still be an index of all programmes listed in the back of the guide.

If your new programme has been approved at College level, please contact us for a New Programme Form.

Programme name changes

Again, if you are aware of any programmes that will be changing name, please let us know as soon as you can.

Need help or have a question?

Thank you again for your support during this new process, we’re looking forward to working in a new, more intuitive way with you all.
