In recent months I’ve been investigating the Kano model, which is a way to plan and prioritise features of a product to better meet user expectations. After discussing with the team, we decided to try it out through the planning process for some upcoming EdWeb CMS features.

On Thursday 15 December, we’ll deploy the latest set of code sprint bug fixes and improvements to the EdWeb system. A big thanks again to all the community developers who came together to allow these improvements to happen

We are nearing the end of 2016. This provides us with a great opportunity to review our actions, highlight our achievements, learn from our experiences and set our goals for more success in 2017. When performing Quality Assurance checks on new EdWeb sites, I frequently encounter the same issues that need correcting. If you have a site set to go through QA, this post lists common problem areas to avoid.

At a recent Website Support Clinic, I worked with a web publisher on how to add videos to her site. With the University’s media hosting platform Media Hopper, it’s now easier than ever to upload videos which can be embedded on EdWeb sites.

I attended DrupalCon Dublin 2016 at the end of September, where I had the chance to learn from a variety of technical talks and even participate in the code sprint on the last day.

The move to EdWeb has offered the University a unique opportunity to shift to a new, more collaborative culture and take full advantage of the available knowledge and resources. UWP have taken the initiative of mapping a development collaborative framework for EdWeb through a project co-funded by the College of Science and Engineering.
