Holyrood ICT Awards – pipped at the post

The UWP-led team responsible for the delivery of the new EdWeb CMS were shortlisted for ICT Team of the Year in May. While we didn’t receive the top prize at the Holyrood Connect Awards ceremony in Glasgow last week we are still very pleased with a top 3 finish.

The Holyrood Connect ICT awards recognise achievement in the public sector in Scotland and this is the second year running that the University Website Programme has been shortlisted.

At the awards event we faced stiff competition from teams in local and national government, from the health and emergency services and from the education sector.

Our shortlisting was based on the performance of the team pulled together from areas of Information Services, with support from Communications & Marketing and the Colleges, to deliver the new Content Management System EdWeb, and the new University website.

Despite the disappointment of not winning, it was a great evening enjoyed by a representative group from the team, who had the chance to hear about the great work being done in public sector ICT across the country.
