The length of life is unrelated to longevity

Introduction
Welcome to our ‘Life Archive’ setting. Here, each person has the opportunity to open their own life’s archive, to review and reflect on the key moments and turning points of your life. From childhood memories to adult challenges, each experience forms a unique life story. Together in this toolkit, we will delve into the true value of life beyond the mere measure of time. Think deeply about the true meaning of life through pictures, stories and interactive discussions. Our exploration focuses not only on the passage of years, but on how to give deep meaning to those years and how those experiences shape our existence. Each activity is designed to help you reflect and discover, focusing not merely on the length of life, but on its depth and richness.

Process
1. Choose one of the two and watch.(Five Mins)

See the pictures and stories of “About Old People”, “Autumn and Halloween” through the QR code. (Thinking deeply about continuity, change and growth in life by contrasting and relating personal experiences in life with photographs of older people and the more macroscopic, universal symbols of life that change in autumn.)

Watch Stacey share her experience of battling a brain tumor via QR code.(Kramer’s talk was not just about survival stories, but about finding your true self and the meaning of life through adversity.)

2. Think about questions: (Six Mins)

Think about the appropriate questions based on the picture or video of your choice.

Photographs of older people and changes in autumn are symbols of the passage of time and the changing stages of life. Thinking about your “life archive” what experiences symbolise important transitions or growth? How have these shifts affected your understanding of the value and meaning of life?

How did Kramer find new meaning in life in the face of difficulties? What are some moments in your “life archive” that have redefined the value of life for you?

3.Access the blog page via this QR code below and share your reflections on key moments in the “life archive”, for example, how these moments reflect the depth and value of life, not just age or longevity. (Nine Mins)
