Vlog: Recent Animation Work – Part 2 (Supercytes, Adobe Character Animator)

Part 2 of my Vlog entries on recent animation commissions. I recently finished a series of animations for schools with the Centre for Inflammatory Research. I used a relatively new piece of software from Adobe and collaborated with the client to deliver a series of characters that mimic my movements but are  lip-synched by the client – welcome to the weird world of face-rigged puppets!

This vid covers the basics of Adobe Character animate,  designing web-cam controlled puppets and how I used the software to create a series animations featuring the clients speech and my movements.

Supercytes

Supercytes is a card game and resource pack (with animated cartoons) about having fun with Biology and encouraging an early interest in science.

The Supercytes resource pack was created by medical research scientists working in the MRC Centre for Inflammation Research at the University of Edinburgh. The resource is designed for use in schools (or school science clubs).
