Diabetes Foot Screening – 25 March update

Critical notice regarding Adobe Flash

Since Adobe no longer supports Flash Player, Adobe strongly recommends all users immediately uninstall Flash Player to help protect their systems.

Please note the University of Edinburgh is actively working with our NHS Scotland and NHS England South partners to develop a new post-Flash version of this e-learning resource.

You are welcome to still view the text-based content on this site, but currently you cannot view key interactive elements. Unfortunately this means you are temporarily unable to gain a certificate in the Diabetes Foot Screening.

We’ll update the website statement with a proposed launch date shortly. You are also welcome to follow our social media channels for additional updates:

Project background

The Foot Risk Awareness and Management Education (FRAME) project was commissioned by the Scottish Government to produce an e-learning resource which would help standardise diabetes foot screenings performed by Health Care Professionals.

The website aims to provide an interactive way of learning and uses animations and case scenarios. There is an assessment involving case scenarios at the end of this module which the learner may opt to undertake and which, if passed, gives a certificate of completion.
