Turnitin Service News: New Similarity Report Experience – Beta View

New Similarity Report Beta View

Turnitin have released a new version of the Similarity Report in Feedback Studio recently. It has been made available to all staff on Tuesday 19 November and, for the time being, you will be able to choose whether to use the new “Beta View” or continue to use the “Classic” Similarity Report. The default option will be the “Classic” Similarity Report.

  • Students will continue to see the “Classic” view of the Similarity Report.
  • Staff need to switch back to the “Classic” view to continue marking.

Read more about the new Similarity Report Experience on turnitin website.

Further information about Turnitin can be found on the  Help and Support page.

There is also an open access Turnitin User Group on MS Teams for internal staff users. The Turnitin service team regularly share news, incident, good practice and known issues there.

The redesign of the Similarity Report is the first part of Turnitin’s wider update of Feedback Studio, with enhanced feedback and grading experience expected in 2025. The Turnitin Service team will organize pilot access in early 2025.
