Back in the days we played… Wii

When the Wii console was released it was a huge success. It was nearly impossible to buy it anywhere. I was among those crazy individuals who really wanted to have one. There were forum posts with info when it was last seen or expected delivery. After several hunting days I got mine. I was so happy :). We had so many Wii parties. It was always a good fun not to just play but also watch others playing. The crazy moves you make is hilarious. And everyone could play, not just kids.

Now, many years later my daugther wanted to play so I removed the dust cover form my Wii and plugged it in. It still works! When the home screen loaded and I heard that famous tune all memories returned. We can still have fun.

Ok but where are the games? The console is very old and probably noone uses it anymore. I thought it is going to be expensive to buy old CDs with Wii games, if possible at all.

Wrong! The community of the Will fans is strong and vast. The console itself has got homebrew channel where a lot of plugins can be found. You can now  use external HDD to store your games and forget about CDs. You can set your Wii as a web server, install wii-linux distro, evulate other consoles and many more…

I’m so happy I didin’t sell mine or throw it away. Let the fun begin start again!
