The physics experience
Steven completed his PhD in soft matter physics at the University of Edinburgh, and now works in the chemical industry as a Research Engineer. In this article he reflects on his continual journey of learning and development, which is grounded in his confidence to tackle experimental problems.
Naomi’s journey comes full circle as she plans to return to Edinburgh as a postdoc after graduating in 2015 with an MPhys in Astrophysics.
Working as a civil servant may not be one of the main ambitions of graduates, but Laura’s career has taken her on a journey which involves advising government ministers.
