The Scottish Centre for Korean Studies is delighted to resume its Distinguished Lecture Series this semester. Alongside this, the University’s School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures’ Asian Studies Seminar Series will also resume, featuring seminars focused on Korea. The next Asian Studies Seminar will take place on Wednesday 16 March with Dr Jihye Kim on the topic ‘From Sweatshop to Fashion Shop: Korean Immigrant Entrepreneurship in the Argentina Garment Industry’ and further details will be provided in due course.
The first part of the Korean Studies Distinguished Lecture Series ran in 2021 via Zoom. Some of the lectures have been recorded and made available via the Scottish Centre for Korean Studies’ YouTube channel and Facebook page.
