An invaluable internship experience

Ben Attwood gained invaluable experience when he completed his summer internship a the School of Physics and Astronomy.

The summer project I took over the summer very much boosted my confidence in conducting my own research work and working in a research environment.

It has massively improved some of my existing skills – for example, my simulations and programming skills –  and exposed me to some areas of research I may not have been otherwise.

I also had the pleasure of meeting and talking to various researchers and staff on site and learning about the work they conduct.

Overall, it is an invaluable experience for any budding researcher to have.
