A fairly quiet week, with just a few new software options. Here are the few notable changes…

Ubuntu Noble

Some further small changes have been made to support Ubuntu Noble. The new platform is still not yet in a usable state but we hope to have something ready for testing by the end of the year.

aptly

The configuration for mirroring the PGDG PostgreSQL and the Mozilla package repositories for Ubuntu Noble have been fixed. Apologies, copy/paste errors caused LCFG profile breakage for some sites.

Software

There are some new software package options available for Ubuntu:

  • LCFG_OPTIONS_GRACE – XY graphing and plotting tool
  • LCFG_OPTIONS_DVISVGM – DVI to SVG converter
  • LCFG_OPTIONS_XOURNALPP – Note-taking program supporting pen & PDF annotation

Changes to headers and package lists

Members of the Informatics Computing team can browse all the changes to the headers and package lists.
