Weekly Changes – 18/11/2024

No big changes for most LCFG sites this week, here are details of the few changes…

PostgreSQL

Security updates are available for the PostgreSQL versions 14.14, 15.9, and 16.5. Note that this is especially important if you use PL/Perl, see the announcement for full details. Version 12 is now end-of-life, that and version 13 are no longer supported in LCFG for SL7.

Ubuntu Noble

The packages for a few LCFG components have been updated to support Ubuntu Noble but there are no functional changes to the component code. Some DICE package lists have also been added but these are currently just copies of those for Jammy. The new platform is still not yet in a usable state but we hope to have something ready for testing by the end of the year.

Changes to headers and package lists

Members of the Informatics Computing team can browse all the changes to the headers and package lists.
