An updated version of the latest stable release – 2022011701b – has just been pushed out. The only difference is that the INF_TEST kernel for Ubuntu is now the latest version – 5.4.0-96.109 – which resolves a high priority security issue.

A range of changes this week but nothing with a particularly big impact. The most noteworthy changes are the end of support for SL7.8 and, for DICE servers, the new DHCP domain-name support. Here are the full details…

This is a reminder that we will not be providing any further support for SL7.8. Please note that this means we will not be updating the security updates package lists for that platform. To continue receiving important updates for SL7 systems they should be updated to SL7.9 or migrated to Ubuntu Focal.
