Weekly Changes – 19/02/2024

Another quite week due to holidays, there are just a couple of small changes worth covering…

LCFG dns component

There is a new schema (version 18) for the LCFG dns component. This renames the srvgen resource (which refers to the /usr/sbin/_dns_srvgen script) to be srvgenbin to avoid the potential for confusion with the srvGen resource which is used to handle the spanning map name (note the difference in capitalisation). This new schema is not yet being actively used on any platforms.

DICE screensaver

The configuration for XscreenSaver on DICE Ubuntu machines has been tweaked to remove the "New Login" button on the locked screen dialog box.

Changes to headers and package lists

Members of the Informatics Computing team can browse all the changes to the headers and package lists.
