Weekly Changes – 26/02/2024

This week sees Ubuntu Jammy updated to the latest minor release, other than that things are calm. Here are the details of the notable changes…

Ubuntu 22.04.4

The latest minor release of Jammy does not appear to bring any major changes other than a new HWE kernel series based on 6.5.

PostgreSQL

A security update is available for PostgreSQL, the new versions are 16.2, 15.6, 14.11, 13.14, and 12.18. For full details see the announcement. Versions earlier than 12 have now all reached their end-of-life.

VirtualBox

VirtualBox has been updated to version 6.1.50 for Ubuntu.

Rust

The Rust language support has been updated to version 1.73 on Ubuntu Jammy.

Software

On Ubuntu Jammy the hwdata package has been added to the standard base packages list, this provides hardware identification data that is used by some kernel tools.
