Maths support

Maths Buddies is a student-led peer support initiative designed to help first year students with their maths courses, primarily ‘Mathematics for Physics 1’ and ‘Mathematics for Physics 2’.

Having successfully completed the courses themselves, the Maths Buddies team hosts in person and online sessions offering friendly relaxed guidance to help students build confidence and improve their understanding.

The Edinburgh Award

The Edinburgh Award is a prestigious skills development programme that recognises students who enhance their personal and professional skills through roles such as volunteering, leadership and fundraising.

As part of the programme, students identify skills they wish to develop and regularly reflect on their progress and the impact of their contributions.
