What we need：some human voice recordings and some recordings without human voice.

The Requirement：At least one of each ↑；At least 5s each；they must be audio files.

It could be: Recording of yourself or someone else speaking (copyrighted) / Copyrighted music with human voice / Recording of your surroundings / Copyrighted Pure Music

What You need to do：Recording by yourself or Choosing them from these sites:

Some audio files with human voice: our dataset;
Some places where you can easily find audio files without human voices: 01 free-stock; 02 audionautix; 03 freepd; 04 pixabay.

If you would like other people to use your recording, you can upload them to our dataset.

Rename your audio files.

The Requirement：

1. The file needs to have a specific name such as “a girl (yell/calm)” “pine tree (swinging)” or “the piano (jump)” .
2. Refers to describing the objective, not the subjective.

Listen and download your “hybrids” – those new voices you’ve never heard before.

Notice: Try to feel the emotion from them. Compare the emotions you feel now with the original one.

03 Rename & Share ✍️

Rename the audio file in the form “objects + holly” （eg. water-holly / baby-holly）

Upload your hybrids created by Holly Plus to our open community through the link and you can also listen to others’ work.

01 Detect & Compare 🔍

Upload your hybrids respectively into Audio emotion recognition AI (Demir, 2023) to detective the emotion of “hybrid”.

Notice: Compare the emotions detected by AI with the emotions you feel for the same “hybrid”. You can also think back to what kind of mood the human – maybe you – and the sound was in at the original recording/audio file.
