Artful Stress Relief Journey

Summary

A journey of mindfulness through abstract art creation, this Open Toolkit guides individuals to express emotions, alleviate stress, and promote self-discovery and well-being by drawing freeform lines, filling intersecting spaces, and adding vibrant colors.

The Journey of Artful Street Relief Journey is an activity designed to provide a unique and beneficial way for emotional expression and stress relief through the free creation of lines and filling enclosed areas. Participants will embark on an artistic meditation journey where the intertwining of lines and colors facilitates the discovery of inner emotional expression, creating their own unique pieces of art.

You can choose to create individual line drawings or collaborate with others for coloring.

1. positive meditation:(3min)

  • Everyone please close their eyes, choose the most comfortable way, and prepare to enter a peaceful spiritual space. In the next three minutes, no matter how noisy the outside world may be, relax your body as much as possible, take deep breaths, and imagine yourself in a peaceful natural environment, feeling the warm sunshine and gentle breeze.

2. Line Creation:(1min)

  • Each participant begins by randomly drawing lines on the paper using a black pen. Ensure that each line extends to the edges of the paper, and participants have the freedom to determine the density and direction of the lines. However, there should be a minimum of eight lines.

3. Fill Crossed Enclosed Areas:(10min)

  • Fill the enclosed areas formed by the intersecting lines. Use simple line patterns, and repetition is encouraged. Ensure that these lines stay within the boundaries of the enclosed areas, avoiding any overlap outside the boundaries. Continue filling until the designated time limit.

4. Choose Favorite Colors for Filling:(4min)

  • In the final step, choose your favorite colors and fill the remaining enclosed areas that haven’t been colored yet.
