Weekly Changes – 24/10/2022

A very quiet week due to holidays, here are the few notable changes…

dsu

A new version – 2.0.1 – of the Dell System Update (dsu) utility is available for Ubuntu systems. This requires a new repository key which is configured using the file component in the ed/options/dsu.h header. The rundsu wrapper, which did horrible things with LD_PRELOAD, is no longer required (and hasn’t been for a while) so has been removed.

Note that the latest version does NOT support SL7. It appears that the older version still functions correctly on SL7 and the firmware versions it recommends are the same.

PostgreSQL 15

Support has been added for the new PostgreSQL 15 release, see the announcement for full details.

rmirror component

There is a new version of the LCFG rmirror component which supports Ubuntu.
