A much quieter week compared to the last few which saw a flurry of Ubuntu server work. Mainly this week sees the start of preparations for teaching in Semester 1. Here are all the details…

Matlab

On Ubuntu, the Matlab packages have been updated to version 2022a.

LCFG Devel

Ubuntu systems which include the lcfg/options/devel.h header will now get the debootstrap utility installed.

Rust

The Rust programming language version has been updated to 1.59 on Ubuntu. See the release notes for details of the changes.

Software Options

The following new software package options have been added and some other options have been refactored to use them as dependencies.

  • LCFG_OPTIONS_LIBGL_DEV – Development packages for the GL libraries
  • LCFG_OPTIONS_GDAL – Geospatial Data Abstraction Library

Changes to headers and package lists

Members of the Informatics Computing team can browse all the changes to the headers and package lists.
