We welcome comments on our posts and we will accept all comments which are reasonable and constructive. All comments are screened before being published, so there will be delay between when a comment is submitted and when it is visible to others. We endeavour to complete this process as quickly as possible, though during busier periods it may take longer.
We apply the following criteria when judging the suitability of comments:
Email address
A valid email address is required to leave a comment. Email addresses are not published nor further shared, but they may be used by the editors to contact the commenter in relation to a comment.
Furthering conversation
Comments should contribute to the conversation and not otherwise excessively deviate from the subject of the article. Those which do not further the conversation will be edited or deleted.
Language
Comments may not include offensive or inappropriate language nor, in the consideration of the editors, be rude or offensive. Such comments will be edited or deleted.
Personal attacks
Comments may not make personal attacks against anyone. Such comments will be edited or deleted.
Links
Comments which contain several web links are likely to be automatically marked as spam, so commenters are encouraged to limit the number of links in comments.
Commenters who do not adhere to the Comments Policy may be blocked from commenting at the sole discretion of the editors.
The editors reserve all rights with respect to all comments. At their sole discretion, the editors may edit, delete, move or mark as spam any and all comments. The editors may also block access to any individual or group of individuals from commenting or from the entire site.
