Summary
This book of emotions will guide you inward through simple steps, capturing and expressing those indescribable emotions intuitively. You can choose to record your feelings for the day, or recall a unique experience, interpreting and reflecting on your emotional state in your own way.

Emotions are an important part of our inner world, and the Book of Emotion is a creative project that helps you explore, express and record your inner feelings. Task: Create a Book of Emotion to record your own emotions

Goal: Learn artistic ways of expressing emotions, establish emotional connections through communication and sharing, and gain new emotional experiences and artistic inspiration from it.

Textual step-by-step explanation

Step 1 (2 minutes)

Prepare tools: paper, post-it notes, paint, stapler, scissors, pen, paper clips, scissors… (optional)
准备工具 :纸张、便利贴、颜料、订书机、剪刀、钢笔、回形针、剪刀…(选择性)

Explanation: Our main tools are paper and pen, so the above-listed tools only need to be prepared selectively according to your own situation.

Special Case: If you don’t have any materials and only have your phone, you can download the software EMMO from the app store. It is an electronic version of an emotional notebook that can record emotions by selecting expressions or entering text. It is very easy to use.
特殊情况:如果在没有材料只有手机的情况下,可以在app store下载软件EMMO,这是一个电子版的情感记录本,可以自选表情或者输入文字记录情绪,其操作非常简单。
Operating Method:
1. Download the software EMMO
2. Click on the software EMMO and enter the main interface
3. Click on the icon ‘+’ at the bottom of the interface, or click on the date to add emotions
4. Repeat adding emotions several times, guide the creation time is over or you think you can proceed to the next step
5.Click on the icon ‘…’ in the lower left corner to export the emotion book and share it with others
6.After completing the above steps, please proceed to step 5 to share and communicate with others.
操作方法:
1. 下载软件EMMO
2. 点击软件EMMO,并进入主界面
3. 点击界面下方的图标“+”,或者点击日期,添加情绪
4. 反复多次添加情绪,指导创作时间结束或者自己认为可以进行下一步
5. 点击左下角图标“···”,可以导出情感本并且与人分享
6. 完成以上步骤后请进入第五步,与人交流分享。
Step 2 (2 minutes)

Main task: Cut the paper into a suitable size. If you are using post-it notes or similar sized paper, you can skip this step.
主要任务:将纸张剪成合适的大小,如果使用的是便利贴或类似大小的纸张可以跳过这一步骤。
Quantity of paper: 3 sheets and above (optional)
纸张数量:3张及以上(选择性)
Explanation: You can use scissors or simply fold the paper in half and tear it open. Of course, you can also choose to fold the long strip of paper repeatedly to turn it into a booklet. (Optional)
说明:可以使用剪刀或者直接将纸张对折并撕开,当然你也可以选择将长条形的纸反复对折变成一个册子。(选择性)

Main task: Expressing emotions on paper

Instructions: Choose according to your situation. Take a look at the content.

Option 1: If there are no emotions to express.

Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and slowly feel your current emotions: happy, sad, angry or calm…

2. Try to recall some recent events?
尝试回忆最近的一些事件?
Think of a recent event that left a lasting impression on you and recall the emotional changes you felt at the time, for example, from boredom to sadness.
最近发生的某一件你印象深刻的事情,并回忆当时自己的情感变化。例如从无趣到悲伤。

3. Try listening to music and watching a video on your phone or clicking on a link.
尝试用自己的手机或者随意点击一下连接,尝试去倾听一段音乐和查看一个视频。
Think about your emotions and how they change, for example, from happy to sad.
在倾听的过程中去思考自己此刻的情感以及自己的情感变化。例如从开心到悲伤。

4. Try to feel the emotions that the pictures bring to you.
尝试去感受图片带给你的情感。
You can also search for something interesting on your phone, but please pay attention to the time.

Instructions: Make a book out of the paper using a stapler, paper clips or other tools. You can also fold it. In short, just keep all the pages together. (Optional)

Find a participant and share your Book of Emotions with him/her, either by guessing, describing or communicating.
寻找一个参与者,并且与他/她分享自己的Book of Emotions,可以通过猜测、描述和交流的方式。

This is a fantastic project! I had previously considered incorporating something similar into my journaling. This project made me realize that a purely emotion-based record also seems uniquely viable. In practice, I feel that, in a certain sense, learners with an art background might be constrained by what they’ve already mastered, making it harder to express pure “emotion.” By the way, the plush toy in the video is adorable—is it a sheep? Is that right?
