Welcome to the CEID Community website! We are excited to create a shared informational space that connects the three factions of our community: the MSc degree programme, the university society, and the research group.  This website was designed to publish helpful community information primarily via blog posts. Topics of interest include life within the community, academic events and resources, and professional development resources. Feel free to explore the different categories available in the website to know more about the community.

The aims and objectives of the CEID programme and useful links to apply for the programme or access to the programme handbook are available here. There is a Society dedicated to all who are interested in comparative education and international development. It is open to all students and staff of the university, and details of the Society and their events are available under the section CEID Society. There is a Research Group functioning as part of the community and if you are interested to know more about the group, you may access the details here as well.

The section ‘Life at Edinburgh’ illuminates the events CEID community hosts throughout the academic year. Exploring the page presents the opportunity to register for the events or spread the word around. As prospective students, your curiosity to know about the recreational activities available in Edinburgh has been outlined on the website. The CEID community members are provided with details of their career prospects on the website under the section dedicated to Careers.

We would like to thank our Program Director, Dr. William Smith, for leading the website design team in seeing this platform come to fruition. Current members who have helped bring this website to life this 2022-2023 academic year are: Sandra Sanabria, Sydney Harrington, Chinchu George, and Christina Williams. Previous contributors to the website design team to acknowledge are: Nan Ding, Chenlin Zhou, Stephanie Berke, Xue Qin, Senqing Hu, and Yvette Xiao.

We look forward to seeing this communal place continue to be filled with helpful resources for all members of this special community.
