Summary
The Graphic Design Service provides professional design services to staff across the University of Edinburgh. We have created a portfolio to showcase our work, and to help our clients define the scope of their requests.
The Graphic Design Service has provided design services to staff across the university for 20+ years. While there have been multiple iterations of this service, our designers have over 60 years combined service to the University of Edinburgh.
I am incredibly proud to manage this service. Much of the work my team do, is hidden in the every-day environment of the University of Edinburgh. Their designs are featured in teaching spaces, on corporate reports in executive meeting rooms, on welcome week flyers, and event displays, they have worked on user interface designs for university platforms including ELM, and the University’s website.
To better showcase our work, we are very excited to share that we are ready to launch our Graphic Design Service Portfolio.

This portfolio showcases some of our more recent work, to help our colleagues understand the design possibilities of working with our service. Our service offers designs for:
- digital designs (including website UI, motion and animation)
- Reporting
- Campaign and brand
- infographics
- illustration
- environment (including external signage, wall display, and event banners)
We charge design projects to departmental or project budgets, with all clients receiving bespoke estimates based on your design needs. For colleagues looking to include design work in funding requests, you can use our portfolio to get indicative costs for different types of projects.*
