Our links

Some of our links are generated automatically from diagnostic codes, but others are manually selected. A number of sources are used comprehensively, while others are specifically selected for individual topics.

Principles

We select link sources on a number of criteria

  • Trusted source
  • Quality
  • Clear language
  • Kept up to date
  • Advert-free, or contains a minimum of ads which do not have worrying content

Paywalled resources

We have mapped resources from a limited number of providers of ‘paywalled’ resources, at the same time building in simple  mechanisms to facilitate login via institutional subscriptions.

  • BMJ Best Practice – a comprehensively mapped Amber resource. BMJ-BP is widely available through institutional subscriptions in UK universities and NHS healthcare regions.
  • Oxford Textbook of Medicine – a limited number of experimental links to this Red (advanced) resource.
  • UpToDate – a limited number of experimental links to this Red (advanced) resource.
  • I’d like to see … Contact us if you would like your library resource mapped, or if you are a publisher who would like to see your resource mapped.
