A community primary health care initiative

A community primary health care initiative

SCPHRP’s Jane Hartley is collaborating with Vicki Cooke at TRE Scotland and medical professionals in Brazil to design and evaluate a community primary health care initiative in Brasilia using the novel stress-reduction technique Tension Release Exercises – TRE.
TRE® (Tension, Stress & Trauma Release Exercise) is an innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma. It safely activates a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system. When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return back to a state of balance.

And this beautiful piano nocturne has been made available to the TRE community courtesy of artist Jeremy de Tolly, who composed it with TRE in mind. Please feel free to download this beautiful piece of music, full of spaces and rhythms that relax the body deeper into its own extraordinary process.
