ShuWen gave some keys about Creative Time has commissioned and presented ambitious public art projects with thousands of artists throughout New York City, across the country, around the world—and now even in outer space. We have the concepts of “transnational” and “trans-regional” in common. In particular, unique landmarks have been commissioned for the creation of art. This feature has the same concept as important historical events in Asia, Africa and Latin America. On the other hand, artists’ voices are important in shaping society, because culture is a whole, we need to treat artists of different backgrounds fairly, democratically and freely. So, we are committed to presenting important art for our times and engaging broad audiences that transcend geographic, racial, and socioeconomic barriers.

I have reflected on three aspects of creative time.

Creative Time has commissioned and presented ambitious public art projects. Their commissioned art in unique landmark sites is one of the main strategy. I think that they focus on their shared interest in addressing both the local and the global. I argue, the global localists itself by entering into a dialogue with a given location or, from a more positive perspective.

In terms of the strategy of organization’s artists’ voices are important in shaping society.  Because Creative Time offer emerging or unknown artists the opportunity to host their solo shows, at times connecting them to the international art scene and eventually allowing them to enter the international art market.

In addition to commitment to the cities or neighborhoods where they are based, these spaces share an interest in process-based artistic practices, in research and alternative pedagogues, and in fostering strong levels of engagement with their publics such as the Think Tank, which guide all cultural production, which asks, and continuously iterates on the question.
