Weekly Changes – 06/04/2026

There was no release last week, so this covers the changes since 23/03/2026. Here are the details of the notable changes…

APT repositories

The default APT package repository has been changed from Informatics to IS mirrors. This also affects the installers which are now built from the IS mirror for all distributions. DICE Ubuntu continues to use the Informatics mirrors for Noble and local packages, but has switched to use the IS mirror for Jammy. The default for installing keyring packages has been adjusted so that all systems support both mirror services.

The aptly configuration of the Fluent-Bit repository has been adjusted to allow overwriting of pool files hopefully resolving its mirroring problems.

OpenNebula component

Schema for the opennebula component have been added to the lcfg layer, and headers for DICE that utilise the existing ed layer headers.

Packages

There’s a new package option for sqitch (sensible database change management).

Hardware

The toohot sensor number for the Asus ESC8000A-E12 has been corrected.

Changes to headers and package lists

Members of the Informatics Computing team can browse all the changes to the headers and package lists.
