Weekly Changes – 07/07/2025

No major changes this week, just a selection of small fixes and some new software support. Here are the details of all the notable changes…

iptables component

The LCFG iptables component code has been modified to move most of the generated state files into the /var/lib/lcfg/conf/iptables directory. This is cleaner and also avoids problems with the systemd service file having the PrivateTmp option enabled

aptly

The aptly package repository software has been updated to version 1.6.2 which fixes the problem with snapshotting an empty repository. See the upstream release notes for full details of all the changes.

Dell PowerEdge R470

There is a new LCFG header for the Dell PowerEdge R470 model – lcfg/hw/dell_poweredge_r470.h

Note, if you are using the H965 PERC controller it can only be configured with the perrcli2 software, the older version does not work.

perccli

The perccli PERC RAID utility has been updated to version 7.3208, see the upstream release notes for full details of all the changes.

Clickhouse

There is a new header – ed/options/clickhouse-packages.h – which can be used to enable the apt repository for the Clickhouse database software. This is designed to work with a local mirror as configured in the ed/options/aptly.h header.

Fluentbit

There is a new header – ed/options/fluentbit-packages.h – which can be used to enable the apt repository for the Fluentbit logging software. This is designed to work with a local mirror as configured in the ed/options/aptly.h header.
