Lecture Recording Symposium

If you would like to find out more about how to use lecture recording effectively and get some practical tips and hints, join colleagues on 31 January for a lecture recording symposium supported by the lecture recording Academic User Group. The symposium, How to get the most out of lecture capture, features guest speaker, Emily Nordmann from the University of Glasgow. Book here: https://edin.ac/2EIC5lw

Emily has an interest in how technology impacts learning and has conducted extensive pedagogical research on lecture recording. She recently published an openly available practical guide (Nordman et al. 2018) for students on how to use lecture recordings effectively to support their studies. She has also published a paper, Lecture capture: Practical recommendations for students and lecturers (Nordmann, E., Kuepper-Tetzel, C. E., Robson, L., Phillipson, S., Lipan, G., & Mcgeorge, P. (2018, December 11)) to help promote effective strategies for the use of lecture capture for students and staff.

The symposium will feature presentations from colleagues at Edinburgh who are using lecture recording in their work and provide an opportunity for dialogue and pedagogical reflection on how lecture recording is impacting on learning and teaching. The event will be of interest for experienced users of lecture recording and those who are just starting to use it.
