The following training opportunities will be of particular interest to anyone new to teaching, or new to the University’s classroom environment.
Learning Spaces Technology (LST) Training
The Learning Spaces Technology (LST) team provide training and support to staff on the effective use of the audiovisual technology available in learning spaces across the University. The full suite of training can be found on the Digital Skills Framework (search for Teaching Spaces) – including links to booking – and includes:
- using chalkboards in lecture recording
- using a matchbox throwable mic
- using a lapel microphone in the classroom.
Introduction to Top Hat electronic voting system
Top Hat allows lecturers to add question and answer activities to lectures to encourage interactivity and engagement within large groups of students. This course introduces participants to Top Hat and demonstrates how to use the basic features.
